Queensland Government Visits Imagine Child Care and Kindergarten

23 August 16

On Thursday 11th August, three local High School Industry Liaison Officers were given a site tour through our revamped child care centre, Imagine Childcare & Kindergarten.

The site tour was arranged by Queensland Government Department of Education and Training, with the goal of showcasing our state-of-the-art child care centre and innovative new-age progression, with an emphasis on allowing the ILOs to view and understand how our centre runs on a daily basis. The ILOs attending were from St Andrews Lutheran College, Helensvale State High School, and Southport State High School.

Lovell House manager, Kylie Pearson; Domestic Marketing Manager, Sue Taggart; and DET Field Officer, Rochelle Papa, greeted the ILOs at the centre.

The tour of our centre included meeting and talking with all school-based trainees present on the day, and a morning tea reflecting our exciting and delicious children’s organic menu prepared by our onsite chef.

A valuable networking meeting was held with the agenda including discussions about the SAT program, students’ progress, and success measures. The collaboration between Imagine Education and Imagine Childcare & Kindergarten, DET, Busy at Work, and local high schools was also on the agenda. The meeting concluded with discussions in moving forward, including how the programme can be further improved, and the individual goals and current successes of everyone involved in the meeting.

The day ended with plans for another industry site tour, and future meetings and collaboration.

We wish to thank everyone involved in making the site tour and day a success.
