Pre-requisite: Please note there are no pre-requisites attached to these units, however to achieve this qualification the candidate must have completed at least 100 hours of work placement (1 day per week during school term time with at least one education provider) as detailed in the assessment requirements of the units of competency.

Overview

This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of education settings, including public and private independent schools and community education settings, who provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad-based supervision.
This course has been developed under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and is a nationally recognised course.
NOTE: Students studying this course are required by law to obtain a Blue Card for working with children.

 

Entry requirements

Students need to be 15 years old and are required to have reading, writing and comprehension skills equivalent to Year 10 pass level to successfully complete the Certificate level courses.
